Fees & Insurance
My current fee for services is $110.00 per hour due each time you come unless arranged ahead of time with me. Sessions that are longer in length will be pro-rated.
If you have insurance coverage please contact your insurance company to verify the specifics of your coverage for mental health out-patient services. The phone number to do that is usually on the back of your insurance card.
Sorting out what you will owe for each session can be challenging but doable. Reimbursement and the charges for mental health treatment are often quite different than for medical services.
Asking the following questions can help:
- Do I have coverage for out patient mental health services?
- Do I have coverage for couples or family counseling and under what circumstances?
- How many sessions do I have per year and what date does it start over?
- Is there a deductible for mental health services separate from my health insurance deductible and how much is that?
- Do my mental health treatment costs apply to my medical insurance deductible?
- What is my co pay for mental health services?
- If my therapist is a preferred provider what is the allowable amount for re-imbursement?
- If my therapist is not a preferred provider, can I still receive coverage and how does it differ from that of a preferred provider?
- Is there and what is the amount of my co-insurance (besides or instead of your co-pay) per session? (This is often a percentage of the allowable charge for each visit)
Co payments are due at the time of service. Co-insurance will be billed to you once your insurance company has processed your claim and sent payment to me. We will work together to create a clear financial agreement between us. It is important to keep in mind your insurance may or may not provide coverage for all of the treatment you need.
